What do I need to have available for my training session?

It depends on the facilities you have available. A normal kitchen is fine! I will bring all specialist equipment with me all you need is access to a fridge and sink and a clean apron. Alternatively, we use various professional venues throughout the UK which you can travel to.

How will I remember what I’ve learnt?

I am happy for you to take video and pictures. You will also be given a copy of my guide on how to work with chocolate which contains all the information you will need.

What about support after my training?

I offer various support packages, we can discuss this during your training session to decide which one is right for you.

How far will you travel?

I travel all over the UK, distances up to 50 miles (from York) are included in the fee, any mileage over this will be charged for. As of September 2018, I now also cover Cheshire and the Northwest.

Where can I buy chocolate and ingredients from?

Information about all our suppliers is listed here and can also be found in your course handbook.

Can I have a personalised session?

Yes! I can tailor a training session to your exact needs and timescales.

What if I need more recipes?

I can provide recipes which have been shelf life tested as well as links to websites where you can see more. I can also provide a reading list of suitable books on the subject.

What if I need any further help?

You can telephone, Skype or email me at anytime for any further assistance.

How long is a demonstration/talk for a social group?

I usually talk and demonstrate for between 45 mins to an hour but can go on longer! Samples are provided too.

How much do you charge?

It depends on the type of service required and distance but please contact me to discuss your  requirements.

Do you only do professional courses?

No, although I teach professional courses, many of my courses are taught informally at various cookery schools around the UK. I also do a series of fun workshops suitable for a wide range of age groups.

Do you cater for people with Allergies?

I try to cater for everyone although many of our ingredients may contain traces of allergens, please advise us at the time of booking if you have any allergen concerns.

Do I need any specialist equipment and what shall I wear?

We provide all specialist equipment for your course or workshop session, it is best to wear comfortable shoes as the course will involve standing. Aprons will be provided by many of our partner cookery schools although for workshops and private courses in other venues it is best to bring your own.

Can you provide personalised products?

Yes, we can supply our bars and other products with your own label, we can suggest various ways of personalising your packaging.

How many people can you accommodate on a course or workshop?

It depends on the size of the venue and the type of workshop but generally from 1 to 25 guests can be accommodated.
