Sheyang Chocolate Forum
Andrew Had the great privilege of being invited to China in June to host the very first Sheyang Chocolate Forum. The event was held over three days in the fabulous five-star lakeside hotel. Over 200 delegates from all over China came together to learn, network, see, taste and hear about Chocolate and cocoa in all its forms.
Andrew Demonstrated a wide range of techniques, many of them previously unseen by the audience. New ingredients were shown and a whole range of products were used using Chocolate Machinery by SEMMco. the forum was supported by Aalst Wilmar Chocolate in Singapore who also sent two of their Chefs to assist with the demonstrations.
The event was a great success and plans are already in place to stage an even bigger event next year., supported by the Chinese government and a number of manufacturers and suppliers.
Whilst in China Andrew visited the SEMMco Factory where he saw the manufacturing process first hand, he was also very fortunate to visit the Hand Bakery and Patisserie school in Shanghai where he met Mr Zhu, one of the finest pastry chefs in Asia, Andrew has been asked to teach a number of classes there in the new year. Andrew Said “it was a real honour to meet Mr Zhu and see the amazing facilities at the school, to be actually invited to teach here is mind blowing”
Andrew will also be launching a range of Chocolates in the Middle East in 2020, Andrew is travelling to Lebanon in the near future to finalise plans for this exciting project.
Andrew Will be back in China next year to host the Event again but also working with SEMMco and their customers whilst also launching a YouTube channel and social media platform for SEMMco.
